Academic Chairs for Africa

Academic Chairs for Africa

This proposal examines a realistic solution to Africa’s complexity in Higher Education. Academic Chairs for Africa has received support from many individuals and associations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, the World Bank and the African Development Bank. This proposal continues to gain momentum based on the advice and concern of those that experience Higher Education within Africa.

A number of African associations and African university presidents and governments have been advised of the proposal and support the concept. There have been many university presidents around the world and senior advisors of IAUP such as Dr. Shuzaburo Takeda and H.E. Fidel Ramos, who stand in strong support of Academic Chairs for Africa. Over and over we hear that this is the right idea at the right time. Please send your comments and suggestions for people in Africa and in the G8/G20 countries who should hear about this proposal.
