From July 5th to July 8th, Vienna’s Hofburg Palace was the venue for the 18th IAUP Triennial Conference of the International Association of University Presidents. The IAUP is a UN-accredited organization. Its task is to advise on educational issues and to foster international exchange between universities. In addition to the main conference, young researchers had the chance to participate in the Young Scientists Conference. In total, 400 university presidents and scientists joined these events. Both conferences were organized by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
For the next three years Georgia holds the presidency of the IAUP, therefore Georgia will be the host country of an IAUP Semi Annual meeting in 2020. The next Triennial Conference will take place in Mexico City.
